Due to predicted inclement weather, the 2017 Dallas Festival of Ideas has moved inside the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, Section A. The Dallas Book Festival will continue as planned in J. Erik Jonsson Central Library and a shuttle will connect the two events. The shuttle between the Convention Center and the Central Library will run every 15 minutes all day. Find more information here.
The 2017 Dallas Book Festival is Saturday, April 29th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Central Library in Downtown Dallas. Whether your interest is fiction, poetry, young adult, children's, non-fiction, or any kind of book, the festival has got something for you! This year, the Festival will co-locate with the Dallas Festival of Ideas at the Central Library and the Convention Center
The Central Library is located on the northwest corner of Young and Ervay Streets in Downtown Dallas. Parking will be available in surface lots on Harwood, Griffin, Wood and Jackson Streets, as well as street meters in the area.
A limited number of disabled parking spaces will be available - by disabled placard/license plate only - in the Library's parking garage (entrance on Wood Street). The J. Erik Jonsson Central Library is fully accessible to wheelchair users.
Food trucks from Nammi, Spin Sushi, Rick's BBQ, and Sandwiches Around the World will be parked on Ervay Street. Across Ervay Street you will find a Subway sandwich shop, and Top's Seafood & Burgers. A little longer walk will take you to WhichWich on Main or Jimmy John's on Elm
Don't forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram! Our social media team will be roving the Festival and posting photos and quotable moments as they happen. Share your pics using the hashtag #dallasbookfest!
